Edifying, Uplifting Reading

"Dynamic, soulful, experimental, and clever, all focused on the heart of a person. With an uncompromising message intertwined with hot rhythms and beats, Los Angeles based, Propaganda, lyrically puts together potent relevant music and poetry that reaches across the spectrum of youth and pop culture. Bringing with him years of classroom teaching and community service experience, he is eloquently bold in the message of each song and never shies away from a strong poetic element in his music.

Can there be a "gay Christian" is a question that is now controversial and provoking. Some people answer differently, and others simply want a reasonable answer for it. My answer may shock you. So, I am writing this article for no other reason than to answer this question clearly, concisely, and biblically. Some sincere believers and seekers out there may not know the true biblical answer to this question. And so I'd like to share it, hopefully without inciting a cyber-riot.
The most adequate opening I can suffice to why I haven't journaled about our church plant journey since March 6th is...it must have been a lot going on to miss almost two months. I'm not going to break down the weeks like I did in my last entry. And this probably won't be chronological either. It's simply so much to cover, the best I can do is just give the highlights...and lowlights (is that a word or did I just make that up?).

Meet Warryn Campbell - CANCELLED due to an Unforeseen Emergency

The hangouts are back!  This time, meet a man who has If you check out his writing and production credits over the years, you'll find some of the biggest names in the industry including: Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Mario, Musiq Soulchild and Brandy just to name a few. However, to our audience he is most known for his work with Mary Mary helping to craft their sound which has moved Gospel music closer to a mainstream sound.

It begins with a tiny seed. The seed could’ve come from a promiscuous past, a scene on a movie or TV show, a song on the radio, a magazine article, a click on an internet site, flirtation that turned into day and night dreams, boundaries that have been compromised, flirtation that went too far, and we can never discount the carnal tendencies of the flesh that are drenched in sin. Too often we downplay emotional purity and heighten all the more physical purity. We've got it backwards. Both are equally detrimental, and because of passages of scripture like Matt. 5:28, Jam.

Can you imagine being in prison – being trapped in the same place, confined to the four walls of a tiny room? Some of you are probably thinking “Well if you did the crime, you’d pay the price” or “I won’t do something that’ll send me to prison.” But what happens when you didn’t do the crime but yet you are paying the price? What happens when the same people who are meant to fight for justice unjustly place you to a life in “bondage”?

Wow, it has been awhile. I didn’t realize it had been three weeks since my last post. So much has happened. So much I have to catch you up on. No need for any further intro.

Week 7

It’s easy to say I’m always strong and never fear or doubt. But then I wouldn’t be able to say I’m honest.
The past week was jam-packed. Between work, ministry, school, family life, and the plant, there seemed to be no breathing room. But by the grace of God, what needed attention and to get accomplished got attention and accomplished. Now, before I go on, I realized I haven’t shared the name of the church with you all. My apologies. It is called “Radical Life Church”.
As I journal about this past week, I write mixed with excitement, sickness, and nervousness.

A couple weeks ago, I told a fellow brother I mentor about the plant and to pray about coming on board. Monday when we met, he said he'd been praying and God responded. He became the fourth member of the team. The other three are my wife, myself, and the Holy Spirit. The Lord is bringing together His team to plant His church!
