Will You Be God's Biggest Loser?

ss127 pic by you.

Did you know that God has a "Biggest Loser" competition going on? On the day when He will settle all accounts God is going to weigh everyone's life to see who gave up the most for the purpose of knowing Him.

The heart God desires to see of us is not one that does just enough to try to get by, but one that gives up on trying to perform "Christianity" or the things in this world that are temporarily pleasurable, in order to know the one that gave up everything to win us back from sin and death.

In this sermon Pastor Cox emphasizes the importance of losing your life in order to know God in an intimate way.

The Great Expectation: Redeeming the Language - 29 Jun 2008

The Bible says that when we accept Christ into our life by believing what He did for us on the cross we become a new creation.  However, to put it plainly, we've been conditioned by culture and the media to hate our new life in Christ.  When we turn on TV or listen to music or watch a movie we're hearing language that defines Christianity in a negative light.

The devil has manipulated the language of Christianity so that we now have a negative view of ourselves in Christ.  We believe that Christ has the victory in the war, but that we will lose every individual battle.  We have been programmed that when we fall short to accept the excuse that "we're all sinners" and that "no one's perfect" to the point that we've forgotten that Christ died to give us power over sin.  We now have a new life.  We are no longer slaves to sin.  We are now slaves to righteousness.  We will only begin to walk in this newness of life once we understand this great grace given to us, which Christ poured out through his death on the cross.

Listen as Pastor Cox begins to expose what the enemy doing to the language of Christianity, and what the Body of Christ can do to redeem it.
