We've All Walked Away - 7 Sep 2008

In 1 Corinthians 11:23 the apostle Paul begins to recount communion using these words, "On the night He was betrayed..." Betrayed by whom?  Many would be quick to answer "JUDAS, OF COURSE!!!" But was he the only one that betrayed Christ that night?

After Jesus was arrested one by one the disciples began to scatter until there was only Peter and John left.  Then even Peter betrayed Jesus - denying Him three times then running away.  These were the same people whom Jesus had personally called.  Christ gave them the authority and power to do miracles, heal the sick and cast out demons, yet they all (with the exception of John) walked away. Are we any better?

Listen as Pastor Cox shows us how we've all walked away from Christ before and how, after realizing how much Christ loves us, cares for us, and wants a marriage-style relationship with us, we can begin to be faithful until the bridegroom returns.
