Hi... My name is M##### and I am one of your sisters in the Lord.  I was watching your video about black women (or every woman for that matter) and of course, was like... yeah... I'm a queen... yeah... true true... respect... and then, you were like this poet maybe living in sin!  Wow!!!  First off, this is my last year in college (thank God), and I've never gone to a poetry night, because besides the fact that they are usually hosted by the black fraternities and sororities, I have never really been interested in poetry.  Thank you for opening my mind to poetry... And even more important- GODLY poetry.  You know how some foods you say you don't like them before you even really try them, and then once you try them, you love them?  I think that that's how poetry was for me.  Getting back to your poem... Thank you so much for that twist... Sometimes I get so frustrated, because even though we shouldn't compare ourselves, sometimes I'm like, well... she can wear that... or she can say that... he can go there.  I really need to die to self!  Also thank you for re-introducing Christ to us.  I saw that one awhile ago, and there have been a lot of "jesus's" lately.  In one of my classes the other day (contemporary family issues) we were discussing homosexual marriage and although I know that I don't agree with it, I was trying to find something to say that wouldn't offend anyone... so I didn't end up saying anything... I wanted to say something,  and God willing, I'll get the opportunity to stand up for what's right, but I and the rest of the body of Christ really need to realize that it's not about us!  It's about Him!!  And if God be for us, then He's more than the whole world against us.  I don't believe we should be offensive, but my goodness, if the world is bold (because someone who thought homosexual marriage was ok definitely stated her peace) we should be all the more bold!!  God bless you...
